Jane Wright-Mitchell, Board Member, Women In Bio; Principal and General Counsel, Lecar Life Sciences, Inc.
Jane is a healthcare and life sciences attorney with more than 20 years of experience working with pharmaceutical and medical device companies. She currently serves as Principal and General Counsel at Lecar Life Sciences, Inc., a life sciences consulting company. In this role, she serves as a fractional General Counsel to companies in the pharmaceutical, medical device, medical technology, and cannabis industries. Prior to that, she was General Counsel, Chief Compliance Advisor, and Corporate Secretary with Vaxcyte, Inc., a vaccine development company. Prior to joining Vaxcyte, she was Chief Legal Officer with Steep Hill, Inc., a California state-licensed cannabis testing laboratory. She currently is a director for the boards of New Frontier Data, a data, analytics, and technology company focusing on the global cannabis industry, and Canbud Distribution Corp, a Canadian publicly listed company with a fully integrated and licensed hemp CBD operation.

Meena Datta, Partner, Healthcare at Sidley Austin LLP, Moderator
Meena is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee and global co-leader of Sidley’s Healthcare practice. She also leads the Chicago Healthcare group and the firm’s Digital Health Initiative and is a member of the firm’s Global Life Sciences Leadership Council. She was recognized as Regulatory Attorney of the Year: Pricing and Reimbursement in LMG Life Sciences 2021 edition, a marquee award for life sciences lawyers. In 2023, Meena was designated as an “Emerging Therapies/Life Sciences Trailblazer” in The National Law Journal, a designation awarded to lawyers assisting the most novel life sciences companies with their most challenging legal issues. Underscoring the depth of Sidley’s talent, Meena’s team was identified in LMG Life Sciences’ 2023 and 2022 editions as first tier for Healthcare: Pricing & Reimbursement, and she was individually ranked as a “Life Sciences Star” in the FDA: Medical Device, FDA: Pharmaceutical, and Healthcare Pricing & Reimbursement categories (2020–2023). Meena manages key strategic regulatory, transactional, litigation, and enforcement matters for life sciences, healthcare, and health technology companies throughout the world.
Shana Fried, Vice President and Chief Health and Life Sciences Compliance Officer at Oracle
Shana Fried has been practicing in the healthcare and life science industries for twenty years, advising on legal, regulatory, and compliance matters. As Chief Health and Life Science Compliance Officer at Oracle, Shana is leading a global team of compliance and regulatory experts guiding compliant creation and commercialization of products and services in global markets. Prior to joining AbbVie, Shana was an attorney at AbbVie Inc., a global pharmaceutical company, where she held various legal and compliance roles, most recently as Vice President of Enterprise Compliance, Policies, and Governance. Prior to AbbVie, Shana was a senior associate in the Life Science transactions team at Reed Smith, LLP. She is a graduate of Rutgers Law School and a member of the Illinois Bar.
Juli Goldstein, MHS, Vice President of Government Affairs and Market Access at Digital Diagnostics
Juli is the Vice President for Government Affairs and Market Access. In her role, she runs payer, advocacy, and policy outreach. Juli has over 20 years of experience across the global healthcare industry. She has held roles in the medical device and health insurance sectors, where her responsibilities have included strategic business planning for new medical technologies and creating coverage policies and benefit designs within a managed care environment. Most recently, Juli led the government affairs, channel strategy, and policy functions at Medela. She is a frequent public speaker and has published in The Journal of Preventive Medicine, The American Journal of Managed Care, and the American Association of Health Plans. Juli holds her master’s in health science/ international health from the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health.
