CAG 9011 – Clinical Genetics: Actionability and Genome Editing will explore how genetic and genomic information can impact the medical management of patients, both now and possibly in the near future. The course will explore how genetic diagnostic products are designed, validated, and approved and the uses of whole genome, whole exome, and targeted sequencing approaches in clinical settings. The course will also discuss the role of precision therapeutics and pharmacogenomics in patient care. Lastly, participants will explore the utility of gene therapy and genome editing, including ethical and regulatory considerations.
