David Mortara, PhD, a Physicist, Scientist, and Founder of Mortara Instrument
30 years + industry experience and a leader in the field of electrocardiography (ECG). UCSF Adjunct Professor in Cardiology.
Prolific inventor and entrepreneur. Former Head of Engineering at what was then Marquette Electronics. Marquette Electronics is now a part of GE Healthcare.
As a founder, he led Mortara Instrument from start-up to an international industry leader in diagnostic ECG (e.g., innovations in ECG interpretation, digital ECG, and ECG signal processing). Mortara Instrument was acquired in 2017 by Hill-Rom Holdings Inc.
