SUMMARY:How to Build a Working AI System in Life Sciences – Virtual
DESCRIPTION:Everyone in life sciences has been told to use AI. Most have not been shown properly how. \nThis is a 60-minute hands-on session for life sciences professionals who want to actually understand what AI systems do and leave having built one. \nWe’ll cover the mental model that makes everything else click: how AI systems process information\, why the tools you use behave the way they do\, and how to write instructions that produce reliable outputs. Then you’ll build a working AI agent around an example provided. No coding experience required. \nBe ready with your LLM of choice\, and one problem you’d like AI to help with. You’ll leave with something that works. \nWho this is for: R&D professionals\, clinicians\, post-docs\, research scientists\, and anyone in life sciences who works with AI tools and wants to understand them better. \nREGISTER» \nHosted by:

SUMMARY:2-Day Hands-on Lyophilization Development & Analysis Workshop
DESCRIPTION:A practical guide to lyophilization formulation\, cycle development and analytical characterization\n\nBook before May 1st and save $500 \n\n2-Day Intensive Laboratory Training | Small Group Format | Certificate of Completion \nThis immersive program guides participants through the complete lyophilization process\, from formulation and thermal analysis to cycle development\, optimization\, and troubleshooting\, in a real working CDMO facility in Carlsbad\, California. Unlike training center environments\, attendees work alongside the same team and equipment used in active commercial production. \nTaught by Dr. Kevin Ward\, R&D Director at Biopharma Group for 26 years and practicing lyophilization since 1993. Kevin and his team have worked on over 5\,000 projects for more than 500 clients across the globe and run more than 400 training courses. \nWhat you’ll learn: \n\nApply thermal characterization (DSC\,impedance analysis) directly to cycle design; understand how to generate and interpret the data necessary to build a stable lyo cycle\nTranslate that analytical data into practical cycle development steps; understand how freezing\, annealing\, primary and secondary drying combine to give you a reliable and consistent end product\nBuild and run freeze-drying cycles based on real-time PAT data\nTroubleshoot problematic cycles with structured strategies such as: What has gone wrong? How do you fix it?\nEvaluate lyophilization cake appearance and identify defects\nPerform post-lyophilization analysis: moisture content\, thermal properties\, mechanical performance\nTransfer cycles between lyophilizers and scaling up from research to production.\n\nThis is a hands-on program\, not a lecture series. Concepts are explored through direct\, practical involvement in our working facility and guided by our expert team every step of the way. Certificate of completion provided. \nView our overview brochure to discover more» \nHosted by:

Join Endpoints News and leading oncology researchers as we break down the science and data worth a second look. We’re examining new readouts\, unpacking the most anticipated trials on deck and discussing the biggest themes in cancer research. \nAgenda\n11:00 AM – 11:25 AM ET: In conversation with Jeff Legos\nWe’ll sit down with Pfizer’s Chief Oncology Officer for an update after his first year on the job\, and how he’s thinking through the pharma’s cancer pipeline. \n11:30 AM – 11:55 AM ET: Catching KRAS\nFor decades\, KRAS was an obvious target for cancer treatments. And for decades\, it seemed like an undruggable target. But that started to change with the first approved KRAS therapies. Research took off\, and now\, new data on pancreatic cancer suggest a potential breakthrough. Join pioneers in the space for a conversation on recent progress and where the work goes next. \n12:00 PM – 12:30 PM ET: Delivering excellence\, close to home\nCommunity oncology is the backbone of cancer care in the U.S.\, treating the majority of patients and ensuring care is delivered close to home in communities across the country. This panel will explore how community oncologists are navigating increasing clinical complexity while continuing to deliver high-quality\, patient-centered care. The session will highlight what is working today — and what needs to evolve — to support and strengthen community oncology as a foundational component of the cancer care ecosystem. \nREGISTER» \nHosted by:

SUMMARY:Small Molecule Preclinical Development and IND Filing: Nuts\, Bolts and Best Practices
DESCRIPTION:Investigational new drug (IND) application is an important milestone that marks the entry of a molecule into clinical development. Knowing the objectives\, expectations\, and processes of assembling and filing an IND is the key to not only a successful filing but also a promising clinical development path forward. Often\, there are cases where too many nice-to-have studies crowd in the package but critical studies/issues are not addressed\, and this can lead to significant delays in clinical development. Additionally\, the regulatory environment is changing as rapidly as the industry. Therefore\, keeping up to date on the regulatory requirements and the industry’s best practices in different aspects including non-clinical safety\, PK\, CMC\, and clinical plan is paramount. \nBelow are the topics to be covered: \n\n\n\nOverview of preclinical development and IND filing for small molecules\nKey preclinical studies required (Safety\, DMPK & CMC)\nClinical Development plans\n\n\n\n\nRegulatory strategie\nInteracting with regulatory agencies\n\nREGISTER» \nHosted by:

SUMMARY:Resolving Target Biology and Compound MOA at Scale: Enabling AI to Chat with Cells on the BioGPU Runtime
DESCRIPTION:Disease is driven by complex biological networks that remain only partially understood until experimentally resolved as a whole. \nTargets and compounds advance without clear biological understanding\, leading to failure. \nAI and large-scale experimental data have scaled hypotheses and insights. The bottleneck now shifts to biological resolution. \nStatic data\, including omics\, cannot capture cellular biology in action\, where pathways interact and drive disease. \nWithout experimental access to biology inside cells at AI scale and speed\, target biology and compound MOA remain only partially understood. \nA new paradigm brings cellular biology directly into AI: BioGPU\, the biology-resolution runtime for AI. Introducing visual computing — a high-content\, pathway-level imaging experimental modality in cells at scale\, capturing biology in action. \nThis generates disease biology models of pathway and network activity in real cells. \nThrough the BioGPU agent\, AI models chat with cells\, operating on these models at runtime in a continuous loop of hypothesis\, experiments\, and refinement to: \n\nResolve target biology — what targets do and how they are regulated\, enabling causal targets to advance and weak targets to be killed\nResolve compound MOA\, how compounds modulate the system\, including pathway and off-target effects\n\nYou will see this in rheumatoid arthritis and ALS case studies\, where BioGPU connects to frontier AI systems\, ChatGPT and Gemini AI co-scientists\, operating on the BioGPU models at runtime to test and refine hypotheses\, deprioritize inactive pathways\, surface novel mechanisms and high-confidence targets. \nREGISTER» \nHosted by:

SUMMARY:Formulation Development of Proteins and Antibodies: Fundamentals of Liquid Formulation\, High-Dose Delivery\, Non-Aqueous Formulations\, and GI Delivery
DESCRIPTION:Developing biopharmaceutical formulations that offer maximum patient convenience without sacrificing safety and efficacy for entities such as mAbs\, antibody drug conjugates\, and Fc-conjugates among others is increasingly complex.. Many drugs now require doses for subcutaneous delivery beyond what can be achieved with a 1 mL injection of an aqueous formulation. A significant hurdle in meeting this need is achieving the high drug concentrations required for these doses. \nThis workshop is structured to first provide an overview of pharmaceutical development. It will then showcase successful strategies across various areas\, including developability assessments\, surfactant use\, achieving high-dose delivery via non-aqueous suspensions\, and enabling the gastrointestinal delivery of biopharmaceuticals. The event will conclude with a discussion focusing on intellectual property within the drug product development landscape. \nThe workshop will cover the following key areas in pharmaceutical development of biopharmaceuticals: \n\nStrategies for Success: Successful approaches for molecule design\, developability assessments\, formulation design and minimizing surfactant degradation will be detailed.\nNew Technologies: An overview of novel technologies enabling high concentration\, high dose\, and gastrointestinal delivery.\nIntellectual Property: A summary of the intellectual property landscape relevant to biopharmaceutical drug product development.\n\nKey Topics\n\nAntibody engineering\nPharmaceutical development roadmap\nSurfactant selection and degradation mitigation\nDevelopability assessment for high concentration biologics\nHigh concentration antibody landscape\nNovel strategies for achieving ultra high concentrations through non-aqueous suspensions\nGastrointestinal delivery of biologics\nIntellectual property landscape for biologics drug product development\n\nREGISTER» \nHosted by:

SUMMARY:Rapid and flexible analytical characterization of oligonucleotides
DESCRIPTION:Therapeutic oligonucleotides (ASOs\, siRNA and conjugates) present analytical challenges due to their structural diversity and chemical modifications. In early discovery\, robust UV×MS purity assessment and impurity profiling are essential for both crude oligonucleotide libraries prior to early screening and purified batches prior to advanced assays. \nHere\, we present a streamlined LC–UV–MS platform comprising two methods paired with (semi-)automated data processing to increase analytical throughput and accelerate decision-making. First\, a flexible characterization method provides chromatographic separation and UV×MS purity/impurity analysis for purified ASOs\, siRNA and conjugates\, with semi-automated processing and automated reporting enabled by the Byos Oligo App. Second\, a high-throughput method delivers online desalting\, rapid MS fingerprinting\, purity analysis and impurity-class profiling for crude ASO and siRNA single‑strand libraries at scale (hundreds per day). \nTogether\, these methods provide a fast\, scalable and fit‑for‑purpose framework for oligonucleotide characterization in early drug discovery. \nKey takeaways:\n\nFit‑for‑purpose LC–UV–MS workflows We developed two analytical methods\, one for detailed characterization of purified batches and one for high‑throughput screening of crude libraries\, covering early discovery needs.\n(Semi-)automated data analysis We integrated data analysis tools\, such as the Byos Oligo workflow\, to enable semi‑automated UV×MS purity determination and impurity assignment with automated reporting\, reducing manual effort and variability.\nStandardized reporting We implemented standardized outputs to deliver consistent purity/impurity metrics for oligonucleotides\, improving comparability across libraries and individual samples.\n\nREGISTER» \nHosted by:
