SUMMARY:Aligning With the FDA on a Regulatory Pathway To Avoid Decision Day Surprises
DESCRIPTION:During the past seven months\, biopharma companies have had to contend with unprecedented change within the upper echelons of the FDA. Among other challenges\, executives at small and medium companies have reported communication issues\, misaligned expectations and media leaks while attempting to get their products across the regulatory finish line. \nNotably\, many of these investigational therapies have targeted rare diseases affecting primarily children—products that FDA Commissioner Marty Makary and Center for Biologics and Research Director Vinay Prasad have vowed to expedite to the market. \nAt the same time\, the FDA has outlined its commitment to aligning with drug sponsors on the regulatory approval process\, with Makary and Prasad stating in a JAMA article published in June that they intend to provide “the regulatory navigation that [small] companies may lack internally.” \nIt’s clear that both the FDA and biopharma companies developing medicines for rare diseases want the same thing but there remains a disconnect. This panel discussion will look at how to leverage FDA frameworks\, define expectations and adopt modern technologies\, including AI and in silico models\, to increase the likelihood of success. \nREGISTER» \nHosted by:

SUMMARY:Safer Labs Through Filtration: Mitigating Overlooked Sources of Chemical Inhalation Exposure
DESCRIPTION:Laboratories often prioritize chemical fume hoods to mitigate chemical inhalation hazards\, yet many subtle sources of exposure remain overlooked. Benchtop chemistry\, common lab equipment (such as balances\, 3D printers\, HPLC\, ICP-MS)\, and chemical storage can all contribute to airborne contaminants. Over time\, Permissible Exposure Limits (PEL) and Threshold Limit Values (TLV) continue to decrease\, underscoring the importance of minimizing any level of chemical inhalation risk. This webinar explores how Erlab’s ecosystem of filtration solutions offer practical\, energy-efficient strategies to reduce exposure and enhance laboratory safety. \nREGISTER» \nHosted by:

SUMMARY:Live Webinar - Operationalizing AI in Drug Development: Inside DIA’s Global AI Consortium
DESCRIPTION:Artificial intelligence is rapidly reshaping the life sciences\, from automating repetitive tasks to enabling advanced scientific and safety assessments across drugs\, biologics\, and devices. As adoption grows across regulators\, pharmaceutical companies\, technology developers\, nonprofits\, and collaborative consortia\, the need for clear\, risk-based frameworks for validation\, governance and human oversight becomes increasingly critical. \nThis webinar introduces the DIA Artificial Intelligence Consortium\, a neutral\, public‑private partnership that convenes regulators\, biopharmaceutical companies\, academia\, and technology providers\, including FDA\, Health Canada\, MHRA\, PMDA\, IQVIA\, Gilead\, Otsuka\, BeOne Medicines\, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center–Yale School of Medicine\, and others. Consortium partners are building a 7‑step AI use case classification framework\, risk‑proportionate validation and monitoring approaches\, and aligned regulatory terminology that reflect how global authorities are stratifying AI use\, from low‑risk administrative automation to decision‑critical analyses influencing clinical or labeling decisions. \nSpeakers will walk through use cases across regulatory\, clinical\, and manufacturing contexts and highlight where human‑in‑the‑loop oversight\, documentation expectations\, and Good Machine Learning Practice–aligned validation should differ by context of use. \nREGISTER» \nHosted by:

SUMMARY:Decoding IgG2 Disulfide Isoforms with Native CEX-MS and Advanced Peptide Mapping
DESCRIPTION:About this Webinar\nJoin Yann Leblanc from Servier R&D as he shares insights into characterizing IgG2 disulfide isoforms using native cation exchange chromatography-mass spectrometry (CEX-MS) combined with advanced peptide mapping. The IgG2 subclass presents unique structural complexity—like a molecular blueprint with multiple architectural variants—where disulfide-bonded isoforms (A\, A/B\, and B) form different structural scaffolds that may influence biological function and therapeutic activity. \nThis presentation demonstrates the analytical framework for mapping these structural variations. Using native LC-MS workflows integrated with Protein Metrics’ Byos and Byonic software\, the approach enables high-resolution separation and characterization of IgG2 disulfide isoforms while preserving their native structure. Discover how this method resolves\, identifies\, and quantifies these critical structural variants directly under near-physiological conditions\, providing the foundation for therapeutic antibody development. \nKey Takeaways:\n\nNative CEX-MS Workflow: See how volatile salts and pH-gradient Cation Exchange Chromatography preserve native antibody structure while separating F(ab′)₂ fragments for high-quality mass spectra.\nAutomated Data Analysis: Learn how Byos and Byonic software streamline intact mass deconvolution and disulfide bond assignment using the Isotope Envelope Confidence (IEC) scoring system.\nComplete Structural Mapping: Discover how middle-up strategies with peptide mapping provide detailed profiling of disulfide bonds\, revealing molecular heterogeneity important for quality control and biosimilar comparability.\n\nWhy This Matters\nDisulfide bond heterogeneity in IgG2 is a critical quality attribute influencing antibody biological functions. Having the right analytical blueprint enables biopharmaceutical scientists to monitor and control product quality during manufacturing\, understand the structural framework of isoform formation and rearrangement\, support biosimilar comparability studies\, and build more effective therapeutic antibody development pipelines. \nREGISTER» \nHosted by:

SUMMARY:Automating Peptide Mapping: From Bench to Batch in Half the Time
DESCRIPTION:Peptide mapping is indispensable for biotherapeutic characterization\, but manual sample preparation and data analysis can consume days of analyst time each week. In this webinar\, researchers from Genentech’s Protein Analytical Chemistry group share how they automated three core peptide mapping workflows — disulfide mapping\, reduced Lys-C PTM characterization\, and Asp-N glycation analysis — using the TECAN Fluent 1080 liquid handling platform and Byos software from Protein Metrics. The result: a validated 30% improvement in throughput\, freeing 2-3 days per week while maintaining analytical quality comparable to manual methods. \nKey Takeaways\n\nAutomation without compromise — See head-to-head chromatographic and quantitative comparisons between manual and automated preparations across all three workflows\, with RSD <15% for PTM quantification\nOne-click data analysis — Learn how preset Byos workflows transform complex disulfide\, deamidation\, and glycation analysis into a streamlined drag-and-drop process with compliance-ready reporting\nReal-world time savings — Understand exactly where the 2-3 days per week are recovered: 7-9 hours from sample prep automation plus 1-2 days from standardized data analysis and reporting\nTranslatable methods — Walk away with a practical framework for automating your own peptide mapping workflows\, including design considerations for buffer exchange steps and multi-enzyme digestion protocols\n\nREGISTER» \nHosted by:
