The current pandemic has brought to the forefront the need for new solutions that can bolster our preparedness and the need to invest in potential solutions today that could help us be better prepared for the known and unknown threats of tomorrow. Venture funds and angel investors are seeking to do this by investing in a wide range of opportunities that focus on pandemic detection, mitigation, and future resilience.
Join us on September 30th for a special presentation to learn more about the investment strategy for investing in potential solutions that may have a meaningful impact towards addressing future health threats. Characteristics and technologies of interest may include:
– Alternative Delivery Platforms
– Drug Discovery Platforms
– Agnostic Detection Platforms
– Host-based Therapeutics
– Regenerative Medicine
– Technologies with a clear commercial indication and potential preparedness application
Representatives from BARDA Ventures and Rockies Venture Club (RVC) will provide insight into what investors need to see when investing in pandemic preparedness solutions, investment categories, and characteristics of technologies support and educational programming to support potential preparedness solutions.
1-on-1 and live pitching opportunities
To help you further understand their philosophies and key questions that arise when pitching investors in pandemic preparedness, pre-selected companies will pitch live during the event. The pitch and Q & A sessions should help you gain a better understanding of the insights investors want to learn from entrepreneurs. The companies pitching live will be notified on August 20th.
If you are working in one of the areas of interest and would like to be considered for a potential 1-on-1 meeting with representatives, please apply by October 13th. 1-on-1 meetings will take place in November and December.
