Lisa Carmel
In her role as Vice President Strategy at Ximedica, Lisa leverages her experience in global commercialization strategy to help forge collaboration and productive client relationships with startups, large life science firms and healthcare systems. Ximedica is one of the largest full service medtech only product development firms with a focus on medical devices, wearables, robotics, drug delivery, digital platforms and diagnostics.
Lisa has 25 years of international commercialization of healthcare and consumer products with companies in the US, Europe and China, such as Procter & Gamble, MedImmune, Agilent and Emergent Biosolutions. As co-founder of a healthcare management consulting firm, Lisa led projects involving commercialization strategy, portfolio assessments and due diligence with a focus on healthcare innovation. Lisa also gained valuable hands-on startup experience as a founding executive of a commercialized medical device startup. An active member of the medtech startup and investor community, Lisa serves as an Advisor to California Life Sciences Institute’s FAST health accelerator, CARB-X accelerator, UCSF Health Hub, Medtech Innovator and Red Crow angel investing platform.
