Stephanie Allen, Ph.D., Director, Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Stephanie Allen, Ph.D. has over 25 years of experience as an industry scientist across drug discovery, medical devices, clinical and diagnostics research. Prior to Stephanie’s role at California Life Sciences, she founded Canvas Health and had been leading the translational science and strategic programs for development of proprietary molecular diagnostics in population health and genomic medicine. In her earlier work, Stephanie founded a stem cell research tool company and in parallel worked as a consultant to help launch early-stage technologies move from the lab bench to the market. Stephanie received her PhD in molecular pathology at the University of California, San Diego, was a post-doc at The Center for Regenerative Medicine, visiting scientist at The Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute, and adjunct professor at University of San Diego. Currently she is National Chair of Programming for Women in Bio helping to lead programming among the 13 chapters across the US and Canada.
