Senior Vice President, Global Government Affairs & Policy, Amgen

As senior vice president, Global Government Affairs and Policy, Victoria H. Blatter is responsible for coordinating Amgen’s public policy positions worldwide. In the U.S. this includes managing federal and state engagement with lawmakers, U.S. agencies, governmental administrations and advocacy groups on key policy issues. She is also responsible for coordinating Amgen’s engagement in trade associations and international lobbying and diplomacy in Washington, D.C. She serves as a member of Amgen’s Senior Management Committee.

Prior to joining Amgen, Blatter worked at Merck & Co., Inc. as vice president of U.S. Policy and Federal Government Relations. She previously served as professional staff for the U.S. Senate Special Committee on Aging and as minority staff director for the U.S. House Select Committee on Aging—Subcommittee on Retirement Income and Employment.

Blatter received her bachelor of arts from Binghamton University and a master’s degree in public administration from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. She has worked in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry for 24 years.
