FTC Releases Interim Report Highlighting How PBM’s Drive Up Prescription Cost
Back
The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) yesterday released an interim report highlighting how pharmacy benefit managers (PBMs) drive up prescription drug prices and limit patient access.
The report details how PBMs:
*pocket rebates that should go to patients
*reduce competition and push out independent pharmacies
*steer patients to pharmacies they own
*control what medicines are covered and what patients pay for them
PBMs shouldn’t put profit over patients. Learn more and urge your California legislators and Congress to pass these reforms, here.
