Official Rules, Eligibility & Judging Criteria

Important Dates

  • June 16: Nominations open
  • July 31: Nominations close

Nominations

Award nominations will begin at 9 a.m. Pacific Time on the opening date and end at 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time on the closing date. Entries must be received within the entry period to be eligible. Any nominations received outside of those dates will not be considered. California Life Sciences may, in its sole discretion, extend the nominations end date for a reasonable period. Winners will be announced at the 23rd Annual Pantheon Awards dinner. Event attendance is required to be eligible to win.

Individuals and organizations can be self-nominated, as well as nominated by a peer, colleague, or partner. You may apply to as many categories as you would like, however each submission must be completed separately and all submissions will be evaluated individually.

To protect the integrity of the nomination process, submissions from a single nominator for the same organization are limited to one per category. Duplicate nominations for the same organization within a single category will be removed from consideration.

Award winners from the previous year are not eligible to win in the same category for a minimum of three years. They are eligible to be nominated and win in a different award category. Prior year nominees are eligible to be nominated and win in any category.

Submissions can be disqualified if the submission subjects the submitter, CLS, or Pantheon to legal jeopardy, or compromises CLS members’ goodwill and/or reputation, intellectual property, or trade secret interests.

Judging & Winner Selection

The Pantheon Advisory Committee will review all eligible nominations and select winners based on the criteria defined for each award category. For some categories, the committee may solicit input from a panel of expert validators drawn from CLS member company scientific and medical leadership. The committee retains final selection authority in all categories.

The Pantheon Advisory Committee, in collaboration with California Life Sciences, has ultimate selection authority for all 2026 Pantheon finalists, nominees, and winners. Decisions by the Pantheon Advisory Committee are final.
