Chee Lum is Vice President and General Manager of the Dispensing Solutions platform within Medication Management Solutions (MMS). In this role, he leads the BD Pyxis™ automated dispensing cabinet and BD HealthSight™ portfolios, overseeing a platform responsible for more than $1.3B in annual revenue, with a significant portion generated in the United States.
With more than 17 years at BD, Chee has held leadership roles spanning R&D, marketing, program management, and global platform leadership. He began his career in R&D within the legacy Medical Surgical business, where he led the launch of the BD Emerald™ low‑cost syringe portfolio, establishing one billion units of global manufacturing capacity.
Chee later transitioned to the Hypodermic platform as Marketing Manager, overseeing the BD Emerald™ portfolio and regional strategies across Western Europe, Latin America, and Japan. He subsequently strengthened enterprise program execution as SAIS Platform PMO Leader within Pharmaceutical Systems.
In 2017, Chee was appointed Platform Leader for the Alaris™ Plus platform within MMS, based in Eysins, Switzerland. He later returned to the United States to lead the Injection Systems platform in MDS. During the COVID‑19 pandemic, Chee led BD’s syringe and needle taskforce, enabling delivery of approximately two billion dose units to more than 30 countries worldwide.
Chee rejoined MMS in December 2023 as Vice President and General Manager of the Dispensing Solutions platform. He holds a Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan State University. Chee resides in San Diego with his spouse, Wendy, and their two daughters, Kaylie and Kelsey.
