Curtis Tyree

Curtis Tyree is the Senior Vice President, for Strategy and Business Development, at VivoSim Labs, Inc. (formerly Organovo Holdings, Inc.) He is responsible for corporate partnerships, acquisitions, and product strategy. He joined Organovo in 2022 and was responsible for the FXR clinical program acquired by Lilly in 2025.

Prior to VivoSim, Dr. Tyree held senior positions at HUYABIO, where he helped develop the immunomodulator HIYASTA™ through its approval in Japan. At TorreyPines Therapeutics he presented on the first gamma secretase modulators for Alzheimer’s Disease, and at Ligand Pharmaceuticals was part of the discovery team that found the first thrombopoietin mimic Promacta®.

He holds a BSc with First Class Honors in Microbiology & Immunology from McGill University and a PhD in Biology from the University of California, San Diego. Dr. Tyree served as a founding member of the Advisory Board and was an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Keck Graduate Institute (KGI) School of Pharmacy. He has served as an instructor and faculty member at the UC San Diego Division of Extended Studies.
