Robert is Vice President of U.S. Corporate Affairs and President of the Boehringer Ingelheim Cares Foundation. He leads teams responsible for public policy, state and federal government relations, corporate communications, brand and reputation, business and product communications, R&D communications, internal communications, corporate social responsibility and charitable giving.
For more than two decades he worked in consulting in health, life sciences and philanthropy. Robert is the author of three research studies and, with MIT, he conceived and edited a report which explores the importance of trust in the success of future health innovations.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from Wake Forest University. He serves on the board of directors of the Connecticut Business and Industry Association and The Cross Cultural Health Care Program, an early innovator in improving health outcomes through culturally competent delivery of care.
Rob lives in Redding, Connecticut with his husband, David, and their two rescue mutts Gus and Kata. He enjoys running on trails and exploring the reefs and wreck dives.
