Tim Patz is the Worldwide President of Advanced Patient Monitoring (APM), a business unit within Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD), a leading global medical technology company headquartered in Franklin Lakes, NJ. He was appointed to this role in 2025 and is responsible for leading APM’s commercial strategy, innovation and R&D initiatives, operational and quality excellence, and the continued integration of APM into BD. Tim is based at APM’s headquarters in Irvine, California.
Tim brings more than two decades of experience in the medical technology industry, including 20 years at APM. He has held a variety of leadership roles across Sales and Marketing, contributing to consistent revenue growth, successful product launches, and increased customer engagement. Most recently, he served as Senior Vice President for APM Greater Asia. Prior to that, he led the U.S. Sales and Marketing organization.
Tim holds a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Science in Bioengineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine.
