Founded in 2013 by Dr. Daniel Kassel, former Vice President of Analytical Sciences and DMPK at Takeda, SciAnalytical brings big-pharma rigor to programs at any stage. Dr. Kassel led high-throughput analysis, mass-directed purification, DMPK, and biomarker discovery groups at Takeda, contributed to the development of Alogliptin, and has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed publications on mass spectrometry and drug discovery.
What we do:
- Medicinal chemistry support (LC/UV/ELSD/MS) — reaction monitoring, final product purity, formulation analysis, and QC of supplier compounds. Results within 24 hours of sample submission.
- PK bioanalysis (LC/MS/MS) — plasma and tissue drug exposure quantitation. Results within 48 hours of sample submission.
- Microsampling — microvolume whole blood on solid support (MITRA) or serum microcollection (Sarstedt) for PK, PK/PD, and preclinical biomarker work, reducing animal use and enabling serial sampling.
- Mechanism of action, target engagement, and biomarker studies — including tissue-level metabolism and proof-of-concept work.
- ADMET and absorption/flux screening by LC/MS/MS.
- Clinical assay development — method development and pre-validation of laboratory developed tests, including drugs of abuse, THC and related species, and custom panels.
