CLS Joins the SMTA Fly-In

Back

Last week, CEO Mike Guerra and the CLS Federal team joined the AdvaMed State MedTech Alliance for its annual Capitol Hill fly-in in Washington, D.C.. In meetings with members of the California Congressional delegation, CLS advocated for passage of the Ensuring Patient Access to Critical Breakthrough Products Act (H.R.1691) and restoring the immediate deduction of R&D tax expenses. CLS also encouraged delegation members to consider the regulatory frameworks already in existence around artificial intelligence in the health care sector as the federal government contemplates implementing additional laws and regulation around artificial intelligence.
